Goodbye 2011!

It's almost time for 2012! Time for change... have you had your resolutions yet? My first one is to keep up with Poptropica and post more here at the hideout.

Earlier this week, a group of friends from the forum and I planned a 2011 Year Costume Party. It's where we thought about our year in Poptropica and came dress up from something that was released this year. There were tons of options and everyone came as their favorites.

The year 2011, released 8 islands: Cryptids, Wild West, Wimpy Wonderland, Red Dragon, Shrink Ray, Mystery Train, Game Show, and Ghost Story Island. A lot went on in those islands... Lots of monsters were found; Cowboys roamed Poptropica; A Winter Wonderland was created; Ninjas had the adventure of their lives; Poptropicans found out how it felt to be small; Poptropicans went back in time to save a famous inventor; Saw how Robots ruled the world; And some spooky guests ended the year.

Binary Bard was elected "#1 Villain" on Poptropica this year. Hopefully, 2012 has someone new. I don't think I can stand Binary Bard telling me what to do anymore...

Well, Happy New Year everyone! Can't wait for what 2012 has in store!

Hey everyone! How was your Christmas? I hope it was wonderful and great. Here at the hideout, we love to party! On Christmas Eve in America, we did a Christmas multiverse party. We mostly did pictures and Christmas things but everything was great.

Poptropica Music Costume Battle!

Welcome to the first ever Speedy Wing's Costume Battle! I'm going to try something new. Every 2-3 weeks, there is going to be a "battle" between 2 costumes that are similar but with a few variations.

The first one is music! As most of you know, my signature look is wearing the pink music note shirt. There's a blue one that's identical. My friend, Lucky Lizard, and I were multiversing and she popped up with a costume similar to what I was wearing, which gave me the idea.

Theme is Pink and Black vs. Blue and White! Vote on the poll on the left. You have until New Year's Day. THE BATTLE IS ON!

Chipwrecked in Poptropica!

Hello fellow Poptropicans! Thanks for dropping in the Hideout. I'm sorry for not coming on for awhile because I can't really find any Internet access here on an island. Oops, I forgot. I currently kinda go... shipwrecked and I've been trying to survive on this island with 6 amazing singing sensations! No, it's not Lady Gaga, Usher, Rhianna, Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, or Bruno Mars. Nope, it's the Chipmunks and Chipettes!

They landed on the island while they were on vacation and they are doing everything they can to survive. Well, I landed on the island because my blimp kinda... popped after finishing Game Show Island (which is now open to everyone!) It turns out, I'm not the only one to land here and we are all stranded. -.- Luckily, we can never be bored with the Chipmunks around! Alvin, the mischievous one, always make the day fun. I still have to yell at him sometimes...

Well, there is a ton of things to do on this stranded island like mango picking or just rocking out to music! Anyways, it's been super fun hanging out with the 6. Maybe if you get stranded with them, maybe I can give you some pointers. (Always give them their mangos!)

Also, don't forget to pick up an Alvin Notifier to make sure you don't miss out on anything!

When you are stranded, you need the right clothing. What do you think? Speedy Wing the Island Popstar or Speedy Wing the Chipette?

It's a g...g...GHOST!!

What's that eerie noise? Is it a ghost? *Random kid in ghost costume appears* ....Awkward.

Anyways, did you hear the news?! The next island being released is Ghost Story Island! You have to find the "ghost" haunting the island.... sounds kinda like a late Halloween Island but good enough. So, look forward to that!! Legendary Swords is out really soon! Can't wait for it! Sorry for the short notice but just wanted to give a heads up.

What's in the freight car?

Eagle-eyed Poptropicans may have noticed some familiar items in the freight car on Mystery Train. It seems that the World's Fair organizers brought along a lot of items from other Poptropica Islands!

Mystery Train is out this Friday!! (Hurray!) I bet all of you non-members (like yours truely) can't wait to get that old magnify glass out of that closet! It's going to be time to solve the mystery!

I can't wait so to keep my anticipation down, I'm going to go to D.C. Diner and work there again... for the last time before I quit. Alright, well, I'm gonna get going! It's almost time to see Thomas Edison once again and make fun of him! I really don't know what's up with me bullying him. I'll get over it later.

It's time to climb!

Money Ladder is here!! The game is pretty basic. Just answer the questions right each time and get to the top of the ladder. It's really similar to the real gameshow: Who wants to be a Millionare?

There are many categories. (My favorite is movie based or music ones!) You have to know about many different types of things but if you don't know, here's a hint. Remember the question and choose a random answer. Then open a new page and search the answer. Then select no and choose the correct answer. They do lots of Disney movies, popular movies, and popular music. Some of the questions are also based on sports and also knowledge. I had lots of fun going on the gameshow and I can't wait for the actually island! I think it's kinda rare to see 2 mini-games on at the same time. I guess this will keep us entertained then!

Climbing the ladder was kinda tricky at first but after 4 tries, I finally got it! I'm afraid of heights so... that was kinda hard. I guess I never figured how high it was until the top. I guess I was focusing on the questions too much.....

Remember all those sneek peeks of the robots and game shows? Well, the new island is going to be called Game Show Island!!

It seems like it's going to be a 'legend.' So all my predictions about robots taking over a game show was some-what right. Here's the description of the island.

Welcome to a future where robots rule. Building computers to compete on TV game shows seemed like a funny idea - until the machines wanted more. Now, after years of robotic dominance, Poptropica needs a savior. Are you clever enough to beat the robots at their own games, and restore the dignity of all Poptropicans?

Who knew that robots would be the ones taking over Poptropica?? I wonder who Mr. Yoshi and what E.Vile has to do with this.

Poptropica App, Coming Soon!!

It seems like everyone is making apps for iPhone, iPad, etc. now. Fantage just recently made one about their game "Bullseye." (Which I have.) Club Penguin just released Puffle Launch today. I guess this is a way to keep everything at your fingertips. Apperently, Poptropica decided to create one too!!

Hmm..... Looks like an app for Poptropica Creator's Blog. I guess this way, you can be updated on things that are going on even if you aren't on a computer!! I think this is a great thing to do but I wish they did a game. It would be nice to play maybe sudoku or just a common room game on the iPhone, iPad, etc. Well, more info will be coming so keep checking on the Poptropica Creators Blog!

I can't wait to download it on my iPod Touch!!

Game Show Island??

Okay, I was looking around on the sneek peeks to find out more about the new island and look at this!

Neat right?? It looks really similar to a game show "Who wants to be a Millionaire." Remember my old game show theory?? I have a whole new one now!! Okay, this is how it goes.

On 'Robot Island' you arrive and everyone is talking about a huge game show that happenes every week. Mr. Yoshi is the amazing creator or host of the game shows. Every week, they have a new game and they pick random contestants to go to the show. (Sounds a bit like Reality TV right??) Well, the robots are created by Mr. Yoshi and sometimes they go as 'challenges' for the contestants. On TV, it seems like the contestants are okay but they really aren't. You get invited to the game show and you go there. You play a game and while they are shooting for TV, you win but when they go for a commercial break, robots attack you and you knock out. When you wake-up, you see lots of people from other shows and notice that they have E.Vile Inc. on the shirts. That's when you start to notice that Mr. Yoshi is going to take over the world. You have to find legendary swords to destroy different types of robots.

How do you like it?? Is it better than my first one?

Did you see the countdown for Mystery Train?? Well, the Poptropica Creators recorded it and look at this video!

I think that was really cool. I love seeing that train in the back. GENIUS!! (It kinda reminds me of a New Year countdown.) Well, that's all!

Mystery Train Island!

Hey everyone! As many of you know, Mystery Train is out for everyon- I mean members. Sorry about that. I was just so excited and all. Well, at least we have a short demo like for Shrink Ray Island! The island was released today at 4:21 Eastern Time. (4 for 4th birthday and 21 for 21st island! Clever right?)

It's almost time to depart!! It sounds like we are going to have a blast going on the train!

Here's a change that I noticed in Poptropica today. They changed the inventory up a bit.

It looks like your backpack has a new look. Now they divided the islands. 11 on one side and 12 on the other. Looks more organized right? *Choo Choo!* Oops! Looks like the train is about to leave! Click read more to see more about my short trip!

Okay, so my trip started out by how everyone is getting ready for the ride. I was exploring and saw Thomas Edison pushing some suitcases.

TE: Why are you laughing at me in that picture?! You knew I needed help.

SW: I was just thinking of the times we had together and you look funny like that. You should work out more.

TE: Well you wouldn't be having light nor computers if it wasn't for me!

SW: *struck* Okay. I'm sorry. Need some help?

I built a ramp to help the luggage up. (Sorry. There was a glitch when I did it so no picture.)

SW: That was easy. You could've done it if you worked out more.

TE: *ignores my sentence* Thanks. Do you want to go on the train with me? I could use your assistance. *hands me ticket* Meet me at my cabin.

The Legend...

Wing. Speedy Wing's the name. I'm a some-what professional detective. I've been working on a case for months. It's all about robots, oil, and legends..... Oh, you want to know about the case? Well, I'll give you some of my clues and other information. Then I'll tell you my theory..... (BE PREPARED FOR LOTS OF PICTURES AND A LOT OF READING AT THE END.)

The guide is going to be out on October (like they said) so get it because it runs out! I wonder how long it took them to create it. I would like to buy it but it's over 8 dollars plus shipping on Amazon! I don't think I could ever get that since I need to raise $500 for a field trip for school. Well, I guess that will just have to wait.

Mystery Train Island is going to be out for members this Friday!! While they are figuring out the mystery on the train, everyone at the hideout will figure out the mystery of Robot Island! Make sure to not miss it! Wing, signing off!

Edison Overload!

Hey everyone. Sorry for not posting in my hideout for awhile. I've been really busy with this case. (Read about it on September 9th!) Anyways, I was just bored today and decided to create a new outfit/costume. I decided to go to the wonderful Time Tangled Island and see what I can get from the past.

I grabbed my time compass (you get it later if you haven't been to Time Tangled yet) and looked at all the place. I saw 1877AD. 1887 AD?! That's a couple of years before D.C. Diner was first started! That's when the lightbulb came back and that it was the building of Thomas Edison.

This makes a whole lot more sense to me now..... okay not really but still!! I've traveled back in time in Time Tangled and D.C. Diner. That makes sense with all the weird clothing and stuff. That when I walked up to Thomas Edison and talked to him.

Speedy Wing: Haha!! I know how you look like in 20 years!

Thomas Edison: No you don't. You don't have the power or knowledge to.

SW: Well........ just remember me 20 years later because you will see me.

TE: What does that mean?! Are you a gypsy or something??

SW: No... I'm a witch!! Just kidding. I would like to be a gypsy though.

TE: Please stop fooling around. I have some important work to do.

I guess Edison isn't the chatty type. Oh well. I went back to the Diner and didn't say anything but I noticed that his hair cut changed over the years and he looks more formal. I guess it's because he has to go on a train and go to the fair. Well, that's all I wanted to say! Don't forget to check back on September 9th for.... THE LEGEND!!

Free Mini-Games!!!

I was just browsing around the Poptropican Store today and and I saw two very interesting cards....

These cards are sneek peeks of Shrink Ray Island and Red Dragon Island!!! Cool, huh? I guess many wanted to play the game again after the island ended so they put it into the store. I would love to play Diner Dash over and over again! It's free too so no credits required.

Love the idea Poptropica. Can't wait for more to come out!

4th Birthday!!

This is Poptropica's 4th birthday!! (I could've sworn it was older than that!) Anyways, there's a free gift to celebrate the birthday! If you go into a multiverse room, you see that there's lots of balloon. If you find one with a big 4 and pop it, you get a prize!! This is kinda similar to what they had last year for the 3rd birthday. The prize is a birthday cake costume. You can also stop by the store to get your free balloon.

Also, in September, members will get to get limited items from the past. So if didn't get them before, here's your change to get them!!! I'm not a member so I'm not too worried about that.

Well, I haven't gotten the balloon yet and I didn't get it last year...... so, I AM GOING TO TRY MY HARDEST TO GET IT!!!! Happy searching!

Interesting start to my post right? I'm just trying to add some drama to this new island. As many of you know, there's a new island coming to Poptropica and apparently, it's all about robots.

I've known about the robots for a very long time and I want to share my knowledge! Too bad I won't share it for another week or so. Many people are excited for the release of Mystery Train Island on September 5th. (Or at least the members.) That's the day that I will give my information about the new island. The Hare is on the Move!

Dr. Hare has been traveling all over the world and he's been at it again! The first place he went to was Lagoon in Utah. (Click here to see my post on it!) Then he went and traveled all the way to London, England!

Shark Boy said this is going to be tricky and that Dr. Hare is in a national park somewhere on the East Coast of the United States.
